Sunburn during childhood can increase the risk of skin cancer later in life, so it’s important for school children to learn how to enjoy the sun safely.
Most people think about sunburn as something that happens on holiday or in hot, sunny places, but research has shown more than a third of people experience significant sunburn whilst in the UK.
This session aims to equip children with the knowledge and understanding of what is required to ensure they stay safe in the sun whilst still having fun.
It will also encourage them to make healthier choices so as to as to reduce health issues later in life.
