Hands being washed under a tap in a sink. Hand hygiene has been a neccessary step in reducing the covid-19 pandemic.

Hand hygiene is the single most important method of preventing and controlling infection, as has been proven in the recent outbreak of the global Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands correctly, therefore keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Unfortunately children are not as vigilant with keeping their hands clean as would be liked.

This session is designed to teach children the importance of good hand hygiene. It also raises awareness the effects that unclean hands can have on their health and teaches them the correct technique to wash their hands effectively.
